Welcome!

First things first . . .

If you haven't "Checked-in?" Please click on the "Discussion Board" link to your left and follow the instructions to check-in. As of 6 A.M. on October 18th I will begin dropping any students from my roster who haven't checked-in and begin adding students from the wait list. There are a lot of folks who want your spot, so BE SURE TO CHECK-IN!!!

Next . . .

Please read Sotware Requirements and then read the Syllabus.

Software Requirements (Very Important!!!)

This course requires that you have access to Dreamweaver 8 or Dreamweaver MX 2004 for successful completion of the tutorials; which you will be submitting for grading. You can use any operating system you choose as long as it can run Dreamweaver 8 or MX 2004. My newest video demonstrations show Dreamweaver 8 on a PC with Windows XP Pro installed as the OS. I have also posted chapter lectures that were recorded using Dreamweaver MX 2004 on a PC using XP Pro as the OS, but they are not the same content as the newer videos. In fact, I encourage you to watch the videos for both versions of Dreamweaver to get the most out of this course. The book you will be using for this course shows screen shots from Dreamweaver 8 running on a Mac. There is no difference between the Mac and PC interfaces except for the shortcut keys and your book always lists the shortcut keys for both Mac & PC. If you are using Dreamweaver MX 2004 you will find that there are some differences in the interface when compared to Dreamweaver 8. Despite the differences, the tutorials I've assigned can still be completed successfully using Dreamweaver MX 2004. If you do not have a personal copy of Dreamweaver you can use one of the PCs or Macs in the Multimedia labs when no classes are in session. Consult with Bob or Nikki, the Multimedia department Teaching Assistants, for available times.
